 Richmond Ski Club (“RSC”) has establish thru the use of by-laws the company's management structure, procedures, and dispute resolution processes. This legally binding public document, which serves as an operating manual for the corporation, was developed, is maintained and enforced by its board of directors. There are detailed internal rules that govern how our business is to be run and summarize important procedures related to decision-making and voting. This helps ensure that even as officers and directors come and go from the company, there’s a consistent process and agreed-upon procedures.

Lastly, these by-laws ensure the 501(c)(7) non-profit organization status in maintained.

 Richmond Ski Club (“RSC”) business Consumer Data Privacy Policy ("CDPP") obligations include:
  • Data Minimization: Limit collection of personal data to what is adequate, relevant, and reasonably necessary (such as, the specified and express purposes for processing).
  • Purpose Limitation: Process personal data only for purposes reasonably necessary or compatible with the purposes disclosed to the consumer (for example, in a privacy notice).
  • Security Controls: Establish, implement, and maintain 'reasonable administrative, technical, and physical data security practices' to protect consumers' personal data.
  • Non-Discrimination: Not process personal data in a way that violates state or federal anti-discrimination laws.
  • Consent: Obtain express consent from consumers when the business (1) processes sensitive data, or (2) deviates from the purposes of data processing disclosed to the consumer (for example, within the business's privacy notice).

Discrimination Policy:

Richmond Ski Club (“RSC”) is a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization.  It is the policy and commitment of RSC that is does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, or otherwise as may be prohibited by federal and state law.

Richmond Ski Club is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members, guests, volunteers and vendors.

Harassment Policy:

Harassment is generally defined as a course of conduct which annoys, threatens, intimidates, alarms, or puts a person in fear of their safety. Harassment is unwanted, unwelcome and uninvited behavior that demeans, threatens or offends the victim and results in a hostile environment for the victim. Harassing behavior and communication may include, but are not limited to telephone calls, emails, and other forms of communication, epithets, derogatory comments or slurs, lewd propositions, assault, impeding or blocking movement, offensive touching or any physical interference with normal work or movement, and visual insults, such as derogatory posters or cartoons.

Harassment or intimidation of a member, guest, volunteer or vendor of RSC is specifically prohibited and may be grounds for revocation of membership.
