ADVENTURES ON THE GORGE

CABINS ARE FULL! call for tent availability

SEPTEMBER 20 – 22, 2019

Join the Richmond Ski Club for some of the best white water in America. The Fall Release on the Gauley River is the epitome of whitewater excitement. The Upper section drops over 335 feet in less than 13 miles, resulting in high-volume and technical whitewater from start to finish. Consistently rated one of the top five rivers to raft in the world, and one of the top three in the United States! The Lower Gauley is the best choice for an adventurous first-timer or an experienced New River enthusiast. With over 70 rapids up to Class V and breathtaking scenery the entire way, the Lower Gauley still provides a thrilling trip down “ the Beast of the East.”

We’ll spend two nights at Adventures on the Gorge in nice cabins (w/electricity, AC, and a bathroom. Towels and linens provided) or opt for tent camping and raft the Upper or Lower Gauley River all day Saturday. Price includes rafting, lodging, one buffet breakfast at Smokey’s, a picnic lunch (please mention dietary needs when reserving your space as AOTG is able to accommodate many diet restrictions), and breakfast Sunday cooked at the cabins. The Upper Gauley is the most challenging section of the River, please opt for the Lower Gauley if you are not comfortable or experienced. Minimum age of 15 is required.
