Kayak trip on the South Anna River

  • 05/17/2015
  • 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Route 33 public landing

  • Come join Cynthia Stebbins and David LaJoie as they paddle the South Anna River from Route 33 (Staples Mill Road) to Route 54 near Ashland. It is about an 8 mile paddle along a very scenic portion of the river, especially at this time of year. There are a few Class 1 and 2 rapids and it takes about 3 to 4 hours to paddle.  Meet at 10:30 sharp at the Route 33 public landing. This is about 8 to 10 miles west of 295. You will cross over Route 623 at Stanley Store. From there a few of the vehicles will need to be shuttled the takeout point. You need to provide your own kayak, LIFE JACKET, lunch, sunscreen and water.
  • Please RSVP to Cynthia at 804-270-9070 to confirm your spot.
